Adsense Click Through Rate
Google Adsense will pay you for every click of the ads they display, there are two ways by which this can be done:
1. Adsense For Content. This refers to contextually relevant ads that are displayed on your pages. The primary consideration here is for you to be able to provide high quality and original content on your website. This content should reflect the subject matter through the right choice of keywords that should be repeated within the body of the content itself. These keywords are the ones that will attract the kind of ads that Google will send out.
2. Adsense For Search. Have you noticed the Google search engine fields within the pages of some of the sites you visit? Part of the Adsense program is an option to displace this Google search bar. Every query made through this will bring the user to a pop-up results page, where contextually relevant ads shall be displayed on the right side of the area. If you choose this option, you will get paid for every click on those ads.
There are numerous factors that can affect your CTR:
• Placement of your ads on their respective pages
• Color of your ads
• Color of your ads vis a vis the color of your background
• Color of your ads vis a vis the predominant color of your fonts
• Presentation of your ads
• Number of ads you decide to use
• Persuasiveness of your content
• Persuasiveness of the ad’s description
