So you have found a site on the internet that offers great small niche free websites that you are considering for your online business. The big question is which free website do I choose? You must do a little keyword research to find which niche market would be the easiest and most profitable for you to set sail in. After you have done your homework on the amount of traffic that you can expect for your chosen niche market, you can answer the big question.
What will your free website be about? Now you have to do some other up front planning on the subject of how will you make money with your site? The ways to monetize a website are almost endless in some markets. You could sell your own products or services such as ebooks or home repair. You could use drop-shipping of products, provide free information or services, sell advertisement space, or use affiliate programs.
Also now that you know what your website will pertain to and what you plan on selling, you need to determine if there is a market for your product? Perform some searches to find other similar web sites so you get ideas from them. If you determine that you can market your related items through your website, you are now ready to plan the layout of your site.
Begin by gathering all the information, articles, pictures and advertising that you want to include on your site. Map out on paper the basic outline of what you want the total website design to look like. Consider all of the design aspects such as fonts, colors, images, whether to use frames or not, and other optional design features such as script, Flash, DHTML, etc. These items can make your website look better, but consider also the fact that some of these features may not be supported by some browsers.
Once you have put your site roadmap together and have adjusted it to your liking you will have a good idea of the theme your site will target and the manner in which you intend to approach attracting visitors to your site. A little upfront planning can save a lot of time and headaches for you in the end.
