Super Fast Directories
Whether you’re a blogger or have an e-commerce site, the way to get noticed in the search engines is to get a lot of links pointing to your website. Those links need to come from a variety of sources. A popular way to start generating links, at least to the home page, is to submit your URL to a web directory.
There are thousands of web directories on the Internet, with different page rank levels. Personally, I like to hit a bunch of directories that have a “0″ page rank because their owners are not overwhelmed with hundreds of daily submissions to review. In time, the “PR0″ directories will start to gain rank. I’ll submit to higher page rank sites, as well, but have observed that the higher the page rank, the longer it takes for your site to be reviewed. It can take weeks, if not months, before your site ever appears in a directory having a high page rank.
There are some web directories that offer immediate or one-day turnaround for site reviews. You can find a partial list of blazing fast web directories that won’t charge you for your submissions. Some of these directories deliver a bit of page rank; others are junk; others are pretty new.
