Search engine optimization tips

As there becomes more and more webmasters the problem of how to develop or increase traffic gets to be a problem and one of the ways to solve this was the tell a friend script. In the last few years some ways of doing this have been developed and most of them work but some aren’t even worth reading after the first paragraph.

Viral marketing is one of the many methods developed to get traffic to your website. It makes use of the desire of others to share something good they’ve found or want to pass along. Viral marketing makes use of many different types of media in encouraging this type of behavior. It might be a forum, a highly exciting flash game or a great story or anything else you can think of including tell a friend forms for marketing.

This way of marketing is usually low cost and a great way for a person or company to make more money. The benefits and ease of this method far outweigh any time or costs involved. Any site will benefit if they do viral marketing.

I was putting up a new site yesterday, a blog about nothing. It’s called miscellaneous talk because I’m going to use it for various different posts and to get links to posts and pages on my other websites and blogs and when I was done I had these search engine optimization tips for you.

Just so you know, it’s a wordpress blog and I use a few plugins on it. One for title, description and keywords, one for social bookmarking and another for adsense ads.

I also have a thing in it that pings google to let it know there has been a new post and to come look at it for inclusion in the google blog search. Unfortunately that was the first thing I put in.

Like a dummy I put it in before the site was done and while creating the site I’d made a few test posts and tried a few different arrangements. Then I discovered a problem with some of the links not working.
